Product Update - Q4 2025

Shop 

  • Your front page can now be configured with a beautiful image carousel. Great if you have nice images of your services. It leaves the user with a good first impression. Enabling this requires a bit of custom coding from our side. Our designer can help you find good looking stock images.

  • In “My Orders” in the shop, customers can now Download PDF versions of their order confirmations, offers and receipts. A great way to save time by letting the customer handle this by themselves.

  • We can now show the number of available units of a product in the shop, for a given rental period.

  • You can now restrict how many units of a product your user can add to cart in the shop.
  • The product list can now use a multi-select location filter, for selecting regions or specific locations. Great if you have a lot of different locations, across many regions.
  • Coupons updates: You are now able to configure coupons to be applied automatically in a shop, without the need for the user to remember and enter the coupon manually. A small but great improvement for when you want to give a discount for all your online customers.

 

Admin

  • In the Schedule, you can now update buffer times on an order (if these are set), by clicking on them and manually adjusting the buffer duration.
  • Buffer Time Extension eg. for weekends: In some cases you do not want to drive over to the shop to clean a unit on a Saturday, before it is rented out to the next customer in the weekend; and want to block any new orders if there is already a return/pickup that weekend. In Settings → Channels → Buffer times you can now define such an “Extension” buffer time. Read more.
  • In the order list in admin, you are now able to filter for untagged orders by unclicking all order tags. If you use order tags, this can help you spot unhandled orders.
  • For Autopass, all passings can now be put on a dedicated sales product, to allow for more accurate accounting mapping.
  • New self service lock integration directly with Locky. The access codes will be available in the Admin Order Page, My Rentals Page, and Emails, like for the other self-service integrations.
  • Coupons module was updated with a more modern look.
  • Blog and Articles update: We renamed the “Activities” module and its related terms to “Blog” and “Articles”, which are fitting much better.

 

Marketing

  • SEO Title Tags now also work for sales products.
  • To improve how AI models search and find your products, we have implemented a Schema Markup JSON-LD.
  • We have fixed the og:image metatag so images are displayed in social media on all key pages.
  • Do you have a marketing partner, or run a campaign, and want to track the effectiveness of it? With our affiliate tracking feature, a code in the URL can be identified, and a corresponding tag will be put on the order when the customer adds the first item to cart. Read More.
  • The Blog slug (URL-”tail”) for a blog post can now be edited. A smart way to include keywords in the url.

 

Subscriptions & Self Service

  • It is now possible to force all customers to pay at the same date of the month. By doing this, you can inspect and clean your units once a month, instead of every day, saving you a lot of work.
  • On creation of a new subscription order from Admin, the end date and time now gets pre-populated, based on the default subscription length
  • Unavailable subscription products can now be sorted to the bottom of the product list and greyed out. 
  • The re-try mechanism on the self service gateway based on new API updates from Inlet has been improved.

 

Reports

  • A new report can be set up for your admin, named “Internal Orders”. It shows data on internal orders (which the General Accounting Report ignores).
  • The Inventory List Report now has a new field called Effective Date.
  • The General Accounting Report now has the new fields counts.rental_days and counts.rental_days_in_period.

 

Public API & Other updates

  • The General Accounting Report data is now accessible via the Sharefox API. This can be used for accounting purposes, your own analysis of product utilisation or other internal analyses.
  • Invoicing data: Via API you can now both retrieve invoice-basis data, and mark it as paid, if it was paid in other external systems.
  • Speed performance: We worked a lot on improving the speed of Sharefox, especially for the Shop application, Admin Orders & Inventory, by improving internal caching mechanisms, implementing slimmer & smarted data flows and through other measures.
