About us

Sharefox is a fast-growing SaaS company based in Norway, pioneering software that empowers businesses to embrace the circular economy. Our e-commerce platform enables clients across industries to seamlessly offer rental and subscription-based services. We work with a variety of customers, such as retail companies, innovative startups as well as traditional rental businesses. We are looking for an engineering manager or a senior developer with management ambitions that will help us continue building a powerful and rich SaaS product.

Overall role

You’ll play a pivotal part in shaping Sharefox’s technical direction while coordinating the engineering team and staying hands-on with the codebase. You’ll be responsible for key areas of our development process and infrastructure operations, working closely with the CTO and Product team to build a robust, scalable platform.

Key Responsibilities

You will coordinate the engineering team on a daily basis and be responsible for:

• Hands-on development: acting as a senior developer in building features, code reviews, overseeing architecture and technical specifications
• Sprint coordination: leading daily standups, planning and retrospectives
• Infrastructure operations: manage our GCP-based infrastructure, including upgrades, monitoring, alerting to ensure stability and performance

Together with the CTO you will work on:

• Engineering strategy, tactics and key architecture decisions (especially around security, reliability and scalability)
• Team evaluation and recruiting
• Product collaboration: Participate in product-shaping processes and effort estimations
• Interfaces with first and second level support, sales, customer success

Who we are looking for

• Experience: At least 10 years of IT experience, with a minimum of 3-5 years as a full-stack developer
• Technical skills: Proficiency in several of these areas is essential: PHP, Node, Angular, React, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Team management: Prior experience as a team lead or Scrum Master role is required
• Education: A Computer Science degree is required. A Master’s degree is a plus
• Proven skills in the following areas are a plus: planning to meet product goals, process optimisation, strong understanding of key architectural and infrastructure considerations, team development
