Product Update – November

The last weeks have been highly productive here at Sharefox, and we are glad to share with you all the improvements we have made. Hopefully some of them can help your company’s operations. For some of you, there is a low season through the winter months, but it could also be a great time to test out some new features.

Order note

Sometimes you want to put notes on the order, as instructions to the customer, agreement notes, or damage descriptions. Now you are able to do this. Check out the bottom of each order, and you will find a “Public Notes” field – these are notes that will appear on the order PDF, customer receipt email, and in the My Orders page in the shop.

Sections for accessories

In your shop you might have a lot of different types of accessories. You can now put these into sections, with dedicated headers. To put an accessory product under a header, you can go to the admin product page (for the main product), select Product Options -> Package and addons -> Edit, and set a header name under “Package group”.

Let customers change delivery statuses

We’re excited to introduce a new feature that empowers shop users to update the status of their active rentals directly from the My Orders page in the shop. Now, users can officially communicate updates such as moving from “Picked Up” to “Ready for Return” or from “Reserved” to “Confirmed” (depending on the customized statuses set by your business). Each status change is automatically followed by an email confirmation to the merchant and customer, to keep everyone on the same page. Get in touch with us if you want to enable this feature for your shop.

Optional flexible payment flow based on product type

We’re pleased to introduce an optional feature that allows you to tailor the checkout experience based on the types of products in each order. With this feature enabled, the order flow can automatically adjust to suit specific products. For instance, if a customer books a large item or a bike experience, the order status can be set to “Request” without requiring immediate online payment. Similarly, digital meetings can be processed with online payment only, creating a smooth and customized checkout experience. Get in touch if you want to get this configured for your shop.

Week numbers in the Schedule

The Schedule can now display week numbers in the normal monthly view. A simple but valuable feature, if this is a reference you or your customers use in your planning. Get in contact with us if you want to have this enabled.

We have now translated the Order, Schedule and Customers modules to Danish and Swedish. From before we also support Norwegian and English. Get in contact with us if you want to have this enabled.

Start the rental journey from your main website

Some of you have a “main” website, in addition to your dedicated Sharefox shop. With Sharefox Embed, you can now offer your customers a more seamless booking experience. By adding a simple “embed code,” customers can choose the location, date, and time for their rental on the main page, and then complete the booking in the Sharefox shop.

This makes it easier for customers to find and rent your products, which can increase conversions and create an engaging, user-friendly rental experience. Get in touch if you want to get access to this.
